Development on floodplain
Set on a flood-prone parcel of land in Brendale, the key challenge was to unlock the site’s potential for industrial use while meeting stringent flood-mitigation requirements. Our solution was to design a continuous suspended slab across the full developable area, elevating all buildings and carparks clear of the flood levels.
Opportunity from constraint
The development comprises a series of contemporary warehouse units arranged around efficient vehicle circulation, with elevated carparks integrated into the suspended structure. The architectural expression emphasises crisp horizontal forms and contrasting cladding to visually break down the mass while keeping construction practical and cost-effective.
