Accurate, Build-Ready 3D Revit Models

We deliver accurate, build-ready 3D Revit models based on laser scan data, optimised for architectural design and documentation.

Our standard output is LOD200, structured with Echo’s Revit family libraries – or yours if provided – and ready to plug into your existing workflow.

Typical scope includes:

  • Walls (modelled as straight unless deviation >30mm)
  • Floors (Modelled with shape editing if deviation >50mm)
  • Ceilings
  • Columns, beams and primary structure
  • Furniture and fittings as generic components
  • Revit topography based on point cloud (detailed survey optional)
  • Property boundary using LGA data
  • Revit model delivered in 2022 format as .RVT

Drawing package (on request):

  • Site Plan
  • Floor Plans (Basement, Ground, Level 01 if applicable)
  • Reflected Ceiling Plans
  • Roof Plan
  • Elevations (external only)

We also provide the registered .RCP file (with photo spheres), decimated to 5–10 mm precision, and aligned to True North within the Revit model.

Do you handle the scanning, or do we need to provide it?

We take care of the scanning process through a trusted partner and manage all coordination. You’ll receive the RCP file and Revit model together.

What level of detail can you model?

Our standard delivery is LOD200, suitable for concept design and DA/BA documentation. Higher LOD can be scoped depending on your needs.

How accurate is the model?

The point cloud itself has 5–10mm precision in the decimated format.

How long does it take?

Most models are delivered within 5–10 business days after scanning, depending on scope.

Can we use our own Revit families or standards?

Yes – we can model using your template, families and documentation standards if provided at briefing.

What’s included in the final handover?
  • Revit model (.RVT)
  • Point cloud file (.RCP with photospheres)
  • Supporting Revit families
  • Optional 2D drawings or exports (.DWG/.IFC)
How do I brief you for an existing conditions model?

We’ll need a site address, intended use of the model, and any existing plans or survey data. From there we handle the scan and model delivery.
